So magical between the trees and the fireflies really did put the cherry on the cake! Warm reception and welcoming and the tent was clean, neat and very comfortable. The cozy farm environment and animals makes the place feel very homely and we loved the walk between the animals and especially in the forest.

Such a warm and friendly welcome with lots to do on the farm – how stunning to wake up with the birds singing. They thought of everything.

Welcomed by family like hospitality with the most delicious home baked chocolate brownies. The fresh air, sounds of nature and twinkling beauty of fireflies at night. Delicious ice cream made with fresh cows milk delivered to your doorstep. The beds and bed linen so comfortable that you are transported on a cloud to dreamland. Step outside to be graced with the company of beautiful horses wanting attention and to be appreciated. Beautiful walks on the farm and surrounds where you meet farm animals all along the way. My soul has been restored and feel rejuvenated and cannot wait to return to the warm, friendly sanctuary of Fernhill. Xxx

Ons het baie lekker gebly, en die kinders het die plaaslewe met al sy diere so geniet. Dit was rustig en die uitsig was pragtig. Ons was verwelkom met die lekkerste sjokoladekoek en al die blommetjies in die huis het ons ekstra tuis laat voel. Dankie dat ons saam kon koeie melk, ons kindertjies het dit so geniet. Die perde het soggens vir ons kom groet en het ons verblyf ekstra spesiaal gemaak. Sal beslis weer teruggaan.

Close enough to town, far away enough to find complete serenity & quiet. Tucked into the farmlands, the land is SO lush & green, with the sweetest farm animals & softest grass. I've stayed in the cottages twice now, built beautifully, they are very clean & tidy and each cottage is decorated tastefully to a different theme. The bedding is luxurious, excellent stoep with braai leading on to a private garden, comfy couches, great service, good people. There is a lovely walk on the farm & it feels safe & homely. Highly recommend!
